We believe that interns should have hands-on program experience to foster professional growth. Under the guidance of E-Gap staff and depending on their area of interest, interns take on a large number of responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting Program-Related Research
  • Building relationships with local partners
  • Developing and Implementing a Monitoring and
    Evaluation Strategy
  • Completing Grant Application
  • Conducting Fundraising Research
  • Developing Curricula
  • Conducting Outreach to Prospective Partners, Donors, and Beneficiaries
  • Coordinating and Participating in Events, Meetings, and Conferences



  • ​Must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited University
  • GPA equivalent 3.0 or higher
  • Candidate should have some interest/background in: international relations, education, curriculum development, anthropology, or a similar field
  • A self-starting, positive, and energetic personality
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work from our Northern Virginia location
